The technology of coke oven pressure regulation is the new technology for environmental protection which has been adopted in large coke ovens.Development background for CPS and PROven of technologies of coke oven pressure regulation applied in coke oven projects of China is introduced in this paper.Meanwhile based on analysis and comparing of working principle and technical philosophy of the technologies,the paper evaluates their function effect and applicability and raises the point of view that CPS technology is the technology more applicable for Chinese situation.

It is analyzed in this paper that the blackening of vacuum potassium carbonate desulfurization liquid resulted from excessive high content of ammonia in gas.A solution is proposed that a buffer tank is installed by the desulfurization column for changing the blackened desulfurization liquid and controlling the ammonia content at the gas inlet which could effectively solve the problem and stabilize production.

This paper studies the nature and behaviors of micro organisms’ cultivation and breeding by SH-A process during coking waste water treatment.It also analyzes the influences to the micro organism growing,such as cultivation time,temperature,pH value,dissolved oxygen,etc.,which provides applicable conditions for nitrous acid growing in biological denitrification.
An integrated technology of CMC with classification is introduced in this paper and the behaviors of the CMC are also studied.The result shows that different sizes of coal after 3~5 seconds moisture removal can meet the requirement for cokemaking.A 2t/h pilot test is also conducted; its result demonstrates that under the pilot test condition,the raw coal was classified into fine coal and coarse coal at cut\|off particle size of 1.5mm,with moisture reduction by 1%~9%.The pilot test result not only shows the correctness of fundamental study and the technical feasibility,but also provides a technical support for an industrial application.
In this paper several processes for coking coal drying are compared based on energy price and capital investment, which can be used as guideline of decision-making for CMC projects.
Through analyzing on the coals for cokemaking in Xinjiang Tianyuan Coking Plant and by comparing with the coals outside Xinjiang,it can be concluded that coals produced in Xinjiang show the following properties,such as higher caking index,lower sulfur content,lower Gieseler fluidity index,lower Audibert-Arnu dilatation and higher alkaline oxide content,which result in a poor CSR of the coke produced.After coal blending optimization,i.e.high-alkaline-oxide-coal is minimized; the coke quality can be improved with CSR increased by 8%.
The characteristics and coking behaviour of Indonesian coal are analyzed.It has been applied in a 40kg pilot coke oven battery.The result shows that the Indonesian coal has the characteristics of gas coal,fat coal and coking coal.When the blending proportion is ≤13%,the coal quality is relatively stable,and the coking cost can be reduced.
In this paper, analysis is made on the correlation between the mean maximum reflectance of commonly-used coal vitrinite and thermal properties of coke test from individual kind of coal.The result shows that R0max appears the best CRI and CSR produced from 1.20%~1.40% coking coal.Production optimization can be done by an appropriate coal blending as guidance for routine production and coke quality stabilization.
It introduces the research and practice on improving average size of metallurgical coke produced by 7.63m coke oven battery.The average coke size increases by 2.3mm through upgrading coal quality,prolonging coking time,optimizing screen size and improving coke bunker level control,therefore stable operation of 5 800m3 blast furnace can be satisfied.
The structure and features of new coke guide are introduced.The new coke guide has been technically improved with respect to resistance to thermal expansion and contraction,abrasion resistance,corrosion resistance and replacement.Therefore,the coke guide car is more environmental friendly and more durable.
This paper analyzes the factors influencing the quality of water-steam in CDQ system and proposes an optimization for the plant in terms of steam types,demineralizing & water feeding system and waste heat boiler water system,etc.so that the CDQ steam energy efficiency can be increased and the water-steam quality can be improved so as to run the CDQ system in a manner of safety and high efficiency.
Analysis is made for the factors influencing the individual oven charge capacity for 7.0m coke oven battery.Measures are also taken,such as controlling the fineness of coal blends,improving coal screw feeding,optimizing coal leveling and upgrading leveling bar structure,so that achievements can be made,e.g.effective volume of oven chamber increased from 55.6m3 to 55.9m3,bulk density of coal charged raised from 0.750t/m3 to 0.758t/m3 and dry coal charged per oven increased from 40.8t to 42.4t,which lays a solid foundation for efficient production of coke oven.
The phenomenon and causes on CDQ circular air duct damage are analyzed in this paper based on the actual situation of the CDQ production.A technical solution and its performance are also discussed,i.e.a suspending supporting column is designed to prevent the CDQ circular air duct from collapsing.
Since the safety maintenance technology for CDQ chamber plays a key role in extending the service life of CDQ chamber,this paper proposes a multi\|section solid suspended ceiling maintenance technology for a safe and quick maintenance of the CDQ chamber,which can effectively shorten the maintenance time and extend operating period.
Through improvement on pressure measurement device at the bottom of coking chamber,the bottom pressure of the coking chamber can be collected automatically and continuously,so that accurate data can be provided to reasonably determine the set value of G.C.main pressure and the set pressure of the ascension pipe PROven system of 7.63m coke oven battery.
Integration method is adopted for the reaction kinetics analysis of TG curve.The reactions between coke of different grain size and O2/CO2 of different concentration are studied to obtain the parameters of reaction kinetics.The analysis shows that under the conditions of higher apparent activation energy and lower frequency factor,coke exhibits lower reactivity,less burning loss and higher stability.
This paper introduces the measures taken for oven temperature control under the conditions of extended coking time and during long\|time maintenance as well as its result.This application is worth while learning in the coking industry.
This paper analyzes a practical application of ABC control system in the sulfur recovery unit of Claus furnace in coal chemical industry.The result demonstrates that the ABC control system is able to quickly adjust the distribution of air ratio for precise supply of air and oxygen whenever the working condition changes so as to ensure a stable operation of the sulfur recovery unit,with sulfur recovery rate of 95%~99%.The ABC control system has been proven to be high level automation,beneficial to natural and working environment.
The sulfur contents in coal tar samples under different temperatures are determined.The results showed that the average value of the sulfur content increases with rising temperature,with maximum standard deviation 0.002 29% and maximum coefficient of variation 0.559%.The precisions of the samples measured under different temperatures,however,remain consistent.It is suggested that the sample temperature should be relatively kept constant to minimize the impact of the sample temperature variation on the determination results of the sulfur content.
Operating costs and operating status of the gas purification plant before and after shutdown of the solvent extraction dephenolization unit are analyzed in this paper.The result shows that the solvent extraction dephenolization unit has many functions,such as minimizing blockage of downstream units,cutting down bio-chemical unit loads,guaranteeing coking waste water discharge index and reducing the operation cost in gas purification plant.
Based on the running data of the integrated desulfurization and denitrification unit,static modeling is studied for the process.The data set is established according to the process and data preprocessing method.Classification of the working conditions and simplification of the sample set are realized by K-means clustering algorithm.Static modeling of each and every working condition is established with the help of neural network.The simulation result shows that this method and corresponding neural network are effective.
This paper introduces the measures for coking waste water recycling of Anyang Coking Plant as well as its performance.This application can achieve a reduction of fresh water consumption,operating cost and waste water discharge.
The measures of“Optimizing the existing system,connecting AIS in parallel,and adding Ozone Plus advanced treatment system” are taken to renovate the coking waste water treatment process.After renovation,the discharged waste water meets the standard requirement.This is a new way for the renovation of coking waste water treatment process.
The problems in tar-ammonia separation and coal water treatment are analyzed.By the application of dosing technology,tar and ammonia are effectively separated,oil contained in the coal water is reduced.Therefore,smooth flow in the pipeline can be ensured,and the COD of stripped water can meet the standard requirement.
The condensation from the gas final cooling system is sent to the ammonium sulphate unit and used as make up water for ammonium sulphate production.Less water is consumed and less stripped waste water is generated.Therefore the production cost is reduced.
As an important industrial material in the development of carbon material,demand on the needle coke increases sharply.However,the yield of needle coke is limited and the cost is high,because the raw material for production of needle coke is in shortage.The industrial status,price trend and development prospect of needle coke are discussed.
This paper describes a minimized fuel cost in ironmaking by fully utilizing cow manure and by improving the combustibility of pulverized coal and decreasing the use of pulverized coal and cokes to build a eco\|friendly steelworks,which will have a broad prospects in application.
Different proportions of steel slag were added to the 1/3 coking coal to produce coke,and the properties of coke produced were studied.The result showed that the amount of steel slag should not be too high to control the content of ash and sulfur in coke.The reactivity of coke increased with addition of steel slag increased,while the coke strength after reaction decreased.With same amount of steel slag added,the smaller the grain size,the greater influence on the thermal property of coke.The specific area of coke increased first and then decreased as the solution loss reaction continued.SEM study showed that there was no obvious change in pore structure when the addition of steel slag is less than 5%.
The formation mechanism and influence factors of thermal NOx during coke oven heating are investigated by using CFD numerical simulation method,which chooses one couple of heating flues of a 6m BFG-firing coke oven battery.The results show that the excessive air ratio has a great influence on the formation of NOx,i.e.with the increase of the excessive air ratio,the NOx concentration first increases and then decreases.The heat flux also has a significant impact on NOx formation.With the decrease of the heat flux,the maximum temperature of combustion increases and the amount of NOx formation increases.For different heat flux value,the excessive air coefficient on the temperature distribution and concentration distribution of NOx in heating flue are different.
Based on the application software FLUENT in Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) and by using Eulerian multiphase flow,we carried out a simulation for heat transfer between coke particles and circulating gas with a 140t/h CDQ system of a coking plant to demonstrate the feasibility of this method and verify the correctness of the calculation results.Through the analysis of the results from several CDQ calculating conditions,we can also show the capability of multiphase flow model to describe the temperature variation of different grain\|sized coke.
This paper studies quality indices of coking coal,such as Audibert-Arnu dilatation,caking property,value Y of the maximum thickness of gelatinous layer and volatile,etc.It also analyzes the correlation of the Audibert-Arnu dilatation of diversified coal kinds and the above-mentioned indices.The result shows that the Audibert-Arnu dilatation varies with the degree of metamorphism of coking coal,which will give directive guidance for coal blending.
Three typical coking coals are selected to study the CRI and CSR of coke and the change of fractured surface before and after adding different proportions of inert material,of which the proportions are determined according to the caking property and active inert composition ratio of each coking coal.
Concerning the problems of intermittent black smoke and high content of NOx in the tail gas,the influence of standard temperature of coke oven,reversing process and excess air factor on the generation of NOx is studied. Proper heating conditions are finalized according to the influencing factors.
This paper introduces all the preparations before coal charge during start-up of 7m coke oven.It realizes zero crude gas bleeding from initial coal charge during the start-up,which not only minimizes pollution to the atmosphere,but also increases the by-products recovery yield,such as coal tar and crude benzol products.
In this paper,analysis is made for the causes to the damage at outer shell of the inlet duct of WHB (waste heat boiler).Improvements are also given for a better inlet duct lining structure,i.e.the original monolith concreted arch is changed to wedge type brick-laid arch structure,which runs very well without any problem and with extended service life of the WHB inlet duct,stabilized CDQ production and less operating cost.
This paper analyzes the causes of frequently-happened hard push for 6m coke oven battery.It also gives countermeasures to successfully control the hard push,such as by optimizing coal blending,minimizing graphite formation on the heating wall,keeping a rational inventory of coal yard and controlling pushing current,etc.

The technical features of desulfurization technology and low temperature denitration technology for coke oven flue gas are analyzed.The coke oven flue gas de-SOx & de-NOx project of Zhanjiang Baosteel is introduced with respect to the technology,commissioning and result.This is the first successful industrialized plant for de-SOx & de-NOx of coke oven flue gas,which works stably and meets the standard requirements.It can be taken as a reference for other projects.

Application of coke oven flue gas de-SOx & de-NOx technology
The coke oven flue gas goes to the de-NOx system to remove NOx,passes the waste heat boiler system to reduce temperature and generate low pressure steam,and then travels through the de-SOx system and de-dusting system to remove SOx and dust respectively.Finally the discharged waste gas meets the relevant requirements stipulated in Emission Standard for Pollutants in Coking Chemical Industry GB 16171—2012.
The mechanism of dry desulfurization of coke oven gas is studied.Problems found during operation are analyzed and countermeasures are made.It is proved that the improvement is effective.
Study on catalyst regeneration in the pre-reactor of hydro-refining plant
The main reason for the increasing pressure difference between catalyst beds in the pre-reactor of hydro-refining plant is analyzed.Different regeneration processes are compared.Catalyst unloading and regeneration procedures for ex situ regeneration are introduced.

Concerning the deterioration of solvent quality of hydro-refining system,solvent-heavy oil separation device is provided to ensure good quality of the solvent and continuous regeneration of solvent,providing a sound basis for the stable operation of the hydro-refining system.
The fluctuation of circulating solution in the desulfurization column is analyzed.The problem of air lock in the solution pipe flowing by gravity from the regenerator to the desulfurization column is solved by installing a vent pipe.Therefore the production of the desulfurization unit is stabilized.
A Low temperature physical separation technology for tar residue is developed to deal with the problems of sticking to the belt,uneven mixing and late treatment which are found during coal briquetting with addition of tar residue.After separation,the water content in the tar residue is very low,so these problems are solved.Part of coal tar can be recycled to protect the environment.
