Abstract:

Objective To discuss the effect of Newman's nursing on the postoperative quality of sleep and life of patients with colon cancer. Method 82 patients with colon cancer who were admitted to Nanjing Liuhe District People's Hospital from January 2020 to February 2022 were selected and divided into the control group and the test group according to the random number table. The patients in the control group received routine nursing after operation, and the patients in the test group received Newman nursing after operation. The sleep quality and quality of life of the patients in the two groups were compared before and after nursing. Result In the comparison of sleep quality and quality of life scores, there was no significant difference between the two groups before nursing (P ＞ 0.05); After nursing, the sleep quality score of patients in the test group was lower than that of patients in the control group, and the quality of life score was higher than that of patients in the control group, with a significant difference

(P ＜ 0.05). Conclusion Newman nursing can improve the sleep quality and life quality of patients with colon cancer after operation.
