Coal is heavily used as raw material in cokemaking and ironmaking.The by-products and asphalt generated can be mainly used for producing carbon materials.This paper introduces the development and application in carbon anode material,needle coke and carbon composite materials.Cokemaking enterprises,therefore,could take this privilege by using their own raw materials to get an access into the carbon industry,which could extend the industrial chain and increase the added value of products.

There are three typical coking coal elected in order to research transformation characteristics of the sulfur in coking coal in the process of washing and pyrolysis.At first stage,the migration law of sulfur in washing process is studied.At second stage,the migration of total sulfur,pyrite sulfur,sulfate sulfur and organic sulfur in clean coal in pyrolysis process was studied by the experiment of 1 kg test oven.As a result,pyrite sulfur in raw coal is mainly removed during coal washing.In the process of pyrolysis,pyrite sulfur removal is essential to the reaction when temperature is below 700 ℃,but organic sulfur removal plays key role when temperature is above 700 ℃.In addition,there occurs a chemical phenomenon that pyrite sulfur and fatty sulfide are converted to thiophene sulfur in the high temperature region.

This paper,by using imaginary plane method,studies the change law of the coefficient for angle of radiation in raw gas exchanger for ascension pipe.The result shows that in heat exchanger of the ascension pipe,the coefficient for angle of radiation of the oven chamber hot coke opposite to the side of heat exchanger goes down with increasing height of the ascension pipe;i.e.with fixed height of the ascension pipe and increasing length to diameter ratio,the coefficient for angle of radiation of the oven chamber hot coke opposite to the side of heat exchanger decreases; with fixed diameter of the ascension pipe,there would be not obvious change in this coefficient;when the length to diameter ratio is fixed,this coefficient will increase with increasing height and diameter of the ascension pipe.When the gap increases between the hot coke surface and the lower flange of the ascension pipe,this coefficient will decrease accordingly.

It was found that the high content of indene in technical naphthalene is also the reason of the high content of non-volatile matters in the technical naphthalene.The optimization of process parameters can reduce the content of indene in the technical naphthalene, and effectively reduce the content of non-volatile substances in the technical naphthalene from 0.07% to 0.05%,up to the standard of first-class product.

In this paper,tar residue formation and the necessity of its treatment are introduced.The results show that the treated tar residue has low water content,high looseness,and easy mixing in coal blending.When the treated tar residue is added into coking coal,it will have small range in coal quality fluctuation,stable quality of coke and higher recovery of coal tar,which not only achieves better economic benefits,but also improves the operating environment.

This paper introduces an additional biological denitrification unit to the coking wastewater treatment station, which can further reduce the total nitrogen content in the effluent of the coking wastewater treatment system.The total nitrogen removal efficiency can reach 88.04%.The total nitrogen content in the effluent of the coking wastewater treatment system can reach 15.78 mg/L,which is less than the limit of 20 mg/L in the Emission Standards of Pollutants for Coking Chemical Industry.
