Analysis is made for the calculation results of coke oven heat balance,heat efficiency and cokemaking heat consumption based on the heat balance determination for different type of batteries.Measures are found to reduce the heat consumption,such as adopting a rational heating system,stabilizing the charged coal moisture,reducing heat loss carried with waste gas,lowering the battery heat radiation,improving the tightness of the refractory bricks,etc.so as to achieve energy saving and emission reduction.

The regular quality index and coking behavior index of the non-mainstream gas coal from Australia are analyzed.Coking coal resource can be selected and coal blending can be optimized in a rational manner.In 2016 and 2017,Shaoguan Iron & Steel used non-mainstream gas coal from Australia,which has lowered coal blending cost by 62.609 million Yuan and brought annual economic profit of 31.305 million Yuan.

Coal analysis is done for 14 individual kinds of coal before coke is made by 40kg test oven.Multiple linear regression equation is created by SPSS,i.e.the relation is expressed between coal VM,mean maximum reflectance of vitrinite,bond index,basicity index and the CRI & CSR,with related coefficients 0.964 and 0.941 respectively,which shows a close correlation.

Due to the irreversibility of silica brick temperature drop during secondary heating-up for coke oven battery,thus there would be a certain difference from the newly\|built battery in thermal expansion.i.e.the battery will have an obvious total expansion after the secondary heating-up,but a relatively smaller expansion during the heating\|up.Furthermore the expansion rate goes down before 300 ℃ during the heating-up and goes up after 300 ℃.

Based on the theory of fluid mechanics and by calculation and comparison between cyclone dust collector and gravity dust collector,confinement reasons are found for holding back the cyclone collector as primary deduster for CDQ unit.Design selection,fabrication,installation and execution result,etc.in practice are introduced.The study result shows that the cyclone collector can replace the conventional primary deduster even the secondary one in the CDQ unit,and can meet the process requirement with features such as simple process flow,low investment and good performance,etc.,with dust content in circulating gas lower than 1 g/m3.

Overflowing of dephenolized naphthalene oil tank is introduced in production replacing the tank standing method,which can reduce the phenolate content in feedstock of dephenolized naphthalene oil and improve the stability of technical naphthalene plant.The optimization of operating parameters for the technical naphthalene plant can also minimize energy consumption,finding a reduction down to 87.26m3/t in COG consumption and saving energy cost by about 0.64 million yuan per year.

The adsorption performance of different resins for the phenols and the regeneration performance of the resin are investigated based on the phenol-containing wastewater produced in needle coke production.The results show that the styrene-based macroporous resin has the best adsorption performance for the phenolic compounds in the waste water.Moreover,it can effectively remove the aniline in the waste water,i.e..850 mL waste water can be treated by 60 mL resin and the treated water can conform to effluent discharge standard.The resin after 3 times of adsorption-desorption experiments,still remains effective,which can be repeatedly used in continuous operation.This treatment is proved simple in process,economic and efficient in operation and environment-friendly,showing a broad prospect in utilization.
