Through research & development of sinter cooling in shaft chamber and its waste heat recovery,the technical bottlenecks are tackled and the technologies of sinter cooling in shaft chamber and its waste heat recovery are established based on CDQ  design philosophy.The result shows that the technologies can effectively improve the rate of resource recovery and secondary conversion efficiency and reduce energy consumption in sintering production.

In view of the unpredictability for the caking properties of blended coal,a bottleneck in coking industry,due to mixing with low caking coal,thus comparison is made for the impacts to the blended coal caking properties between two scenarios,i.e.blending with two kinds of low caking coals (5%~25%) individually and blending with them both.The result shows that for most of caking properties of the blended coal,there will be a clear linear dependence between the values predicated and measured when blended with the said two kinds of low caking coals.It is found that the value b can also be accurately predicted by the equation in this paper.

Numerical simulation of NOx formation is done for the multi\|concentration fields of waste gas recirculation combustion inside coke oven vertical flues.The impact of air and gas inlet size and waste gas recirculation to the NOx formation is studied.The result shows that most of NOx is formed at the high temperature zone in the middle of rising vertical flue.Increasing external gas circulation would reduce the combustion temperature and narrow thermal peak so as to decrease the NOx formation.When the external circulation rate is 20%,the maximum temperature is lowered by 88 ℃  and the temperature field gets more uniform.When the inlet area is cut by half,the internal circulation rate is increased to 1.95 times and the NOx emission is reduced by 13.7%.

Since problems are found in two blocks of 7.63 m coke oven in Masteel,i.e.the worsened flatness of oven roof and displaced charging hole,revamp is done by restructuring the charging hole frame,re-bricklaying oven roof,re-leveling the charging hole elevation and making a roof slope.Additionally,the roof material is upgraded and the bricks for emergency evacuation lane is modified.All these revamps can be used as reference for similar projects in China.

In the process of cokemaking,the atmospheric pollutant discharged from coke oven chimney is referred to as the waste flue gas after COG combustion,mainly including SO2,NOx and emission,etc.,which are the major causes of environmental pollution.By analyzing the mechanism of NOx formation in the waste flue gas and adopting the technology of COG dilution,the content of NOx in the flue gas can be dramatically reduced and the generation of NOx,therefore,can be rooted out.

The recuperative cooler for CDQ dedusting system has high temperature at inlet and outlet,which frequently causes alarm and shutdown of the dedusting fan,even interruption of CDQ production.Thus an air valve is added before the recuperative cooler to cool down the dedusting system and improve its operating condition.The result turns out to be satisfactory.
