Abstract: Magnesia，as the raw material for producing basic refractories，affects the service life
of magnesia refractories. Magnesia of different grades and from different production processes varies
greatly in microstructures. The scanning electron microscope is of great significance to identify the
magnesia most suitable for refractories through microscopic analysis.
