This paper presents a method for preparing metallurgical formed coke from low rank coal in high proportion. Low rank coal,semi-coke from low rank coal,bituminous coal with some binding capacity and coal asphalt are uniformly mixed and pressed into coal briquette by high-pressure pelletizing machine with linear pressure ≥200 kN/cm. The high-pressure coal briquette becomes metallurgical formed coke after dry distillation at about 1 050 ℃. The test result shows that the compressive strength of the metallurgical formed coke is more than 5 000 N,with CRI 54% and CSR 65%,which can be used as metallurgical coke.

 Coal blending plays a key role in the production of a coking plant. In the iron and steel industry,CSR and CRI indexes of coke at high temperature are of particular importance. In order to improve traditional coal blending process that relies on expert experience,the idea of predicting coke quality based on raw coal indexes has been put forward. This article aims to analyze some coke quality prediction methods at home and abroad and improve the existing deficiencies. Taking Phase I and II projects of Xilaifeng coking plant as an example,this article conducts intelligent analysis, using SVR model,on CSR and CRI indexes of coke. By showing the relationship between training sample proportion and prediction accuracy,it further points out research orientation of coke quality prediction work.

This paper shows the frequency of each reflectance interval and the method of generating a vitrinite reflectivity distribution chart of mixed coal based on histogram generation principles and the vitrinite reflectivity distribution of single coal. It calculates average vitrinite reflectance(Rr) and standard deviations(S)of mixed coal under different ratios and generates a vitrinite reflectivity distribution chart so to save time and cost of laboratory work,which could be widely applied in coal blending and coking-coal mixing process.

The APS hydraulic clamping arm on CDQ is an important equipment to connect the coke bucket and crane,mainly to force the quenching car into position after the initial alignment. During operation,damage often occurs when the APS hydraulic clamping arm suddenly lifts and collides with the coke bucket. Adding an audible and visual alarm to the front of the quenching car provides obvious and clear feedback to the operator’s operation so as to avoid collisions.

There are high content of phosphorus and COD, exceeding the standard in recirculating cooling water system,which is prone to cause scaling and corrosion of heat exchange equipment. Therefore,biological agents is used to improve the quality of recirculating cooling water. The results shows that the contents of COD,ammonia nitrogen, chloride ion and total phosphorus have decreased drastically,the removal rates reached 92%,95%,57% and 73% respectively. It is important that the discharge of sewage and phosphorus significantly decreased,and the proportion of make-up water decreased from 30% to 10%,a good economic and social benefit is achieved.

By measuring bulk density and true relative density of raw coal under different conditions of moisture and particle sizes through a period,this paper collects and analyses testing data by using mathematical and statistical methods such as the Grubbs test and binary linear regression. It verified the binary linear relationship between coal moisture/coal particle size and bulk density based on the experimental data of true relative density of coal.

This paper analyzed the overall operating conditions of benzol stripper and studied the effect of operating parameters on Cl- content in crude benzol.According to the actual situation and in order to ensure that the Cl- content in crude benzene reaches the standard,the stripper top temperature should be controlled at about 80 ℃,the stripper top pressure at about -30 kPa,and the bottom pressure at about -20 kPa.The research shows that the amount of steam added and the reflux flow rate are inversely proportional to the Cl- content in crude benzol.The overall change trend of Cl- content of lean and rich oil is the same as that of crude benzol.

The causes and mechanisms of abnormally colored products such as blue and pink in the production of ammonium sulfate in the spray saturator were analyzed.The key reason was found that the proportion of impurities such as phenol and cyanide contained in ammonia vapor during the ammonia stripping was locally too large,making the acidity uncontrolled,and the prussian and quinone adhered to the product,resulting in abnormal color of the product.The amount of ammonia stripping is adjusted according to the output of the coke oven so that it can be produced continuously.By such an optimized operation,the problem of abnormal ammonium sulfate products is solved.

A long distance steam pipeline is considered as a whole. The pressure loss of the pipeline is calculated by friction theory and the temperature drop is calculated by heat dissipation from insulation layer and a method of equal enthalpy pressure drop. As a result,the calculated value is smaller than the measured value. To solve the problem,a temperature-pressure coupling segmentation calculation strategy is proposed. The pressure loss calculation method still uses friction theory,while the temperature drop calculation method takes into account three factors: heat dissipation from insulation layer,equal enthalpy pressure drop and heat dissipation from supports. The way of decoupling is to calculate the pressure loss first,and then the temperature drop is calculated. After these improvements,the calculated pressure loss and temperature drop basically match with the measured values,which satisfies the required accuracy of the project.

Introduction is made to a new type of sedimentation tank used in waste quenching water treatment, with the characteristics of high slenderness ratio and small land occupation, which features in high surface load and thick suspended sludge layer inside. Making use of return sludge as the substitute for coagulant, the sedimentation tank gives full play to coagulation effect and reduce the amount of added coagulants, helping to stabilize the water disposal procedure and enhance the quality of discharge water.
