As a result of excessive capacity,extensive development,increasingly environment pressure and lack of innovation,the industrial structure of coking industry in China is stepping into deep adjustment period.Under the circumstance that many companies got into unprecedented difficulties,it is essential to commence an intensive research on the positive and negative factors affecting the development of coking industry,analyzing the mainstream,reforming development patterns and taking corresponding measures to improve the value integration capability,reverse the passive situation and realize sustainable development of coking industry.

This paper introduces the improvement of coal moisture control in Baosteel from the aspects of process and equipment. New problems were found after the improved coal moisture control technology was put into operation,and accordingly measures were taken to solve the problems.Afterwards the running rate of equipment increased,abnormal shutdown of dryer decreased,steam condensate was completely recovered,and dust deposition in bag was avoided.

The traditional coal blending coking theory could not adapt modern coal source conditions as it is established based on single type of coal.It is necessary to determine the caking and coking properties of coking coal according to Chinese classification principles of coal and reflectance distribution diagram of commercial coal,which could also identify the degree of mixed coal,correctly evaluate the property of mixed coal and its role in coking coal blending,and make appropriate coal blending scheme through coking in small coke ovens.The test shows that reasonable use of mixed coal in coal blending could reduce negative factors of mixed coal in coal blending so that coke of high quality could be produced which could meet the requirement of blast furnace production.
This paper comprehensively analyzes A type coking coal with methods of coal petrography reflectance detection,Gieseler fluidity measurement,coking test with single coal and coal blending coking test etc. The test shows that The G value,Y value and industrial analysis index of A type coal are similar with and even better than other coking coal of the same kind,but its micromaceral is abnormal,and the ratio between reactive and inert components is as high as 19.2,maximum fluidity is only 32ddpm,and the thermal intensity of the produced coke from the single coal is as low as 5.26%.

Regarding to the pushing current fluctuation along with the change of coal blending ratio,influence of coal blending structure to pushing current of stamp-charging coke oven is studied.Under the present heating system,to ensure stable pushing current,the blending coal should be controlled as follows:volatile matter ≤26.1,caking index ≥66.9,and shrinkage of coal cake ≥7mm.

This paper studies the reason for high coking heat consumption of stamp-charging coke oven. The influence of moisture content,coke oven top space temperature,and waste gas temperature was studied.Under the precondition of ensuring coke quality,measures such as adopting suitable coke cake center temperature and suitable excess air coefficient,enhancing the management of coke oven proper temperature,and strictly controlling the operation of coke oven were taken to reduce the coking heat consumption. This paper introduces two routes to produce liquefied natural gas from coke oven gas: cryogenic liquefaction route and methanation route.Comparison of these two routes shows that the better investment mode for now is to firstly establish a plant with cryogenic liquefaction route for the purpose,and then reconstruct a methanation plant on basis of the established cryogenic liquefaction plant when the catalytic synthesis reaction of methanation route proves to be mature and reliable.

In order to study the properties of coking coal at different grain sizes,Zhaogezhuang fat coal,Hailing 1/3 coking coal,Mucun coking coal and Sangei lean coal are screened by 10mm,5mm,3mm and 1mm screens.Coal quality analysis and coal petrography analysis are carried out for each individual coal at different grain sizes.Influence of coal kind and coal grade to coking coal property is studied,which provides certain theoretical basis for selective crushing process of individual coals.
This paper studies the influence of ash on the initial solution reaction temperature of coke after coke is added with different amount of ash through experiment.The initial solution reaction temperature of coke deceases with the increasing of ash.The initial solution reaction temperature decreases from 941.6℃ to 927.7℃ with the addition of ash content from 1.63% to 20%.Fe2O3,CaO and MgO work as catalyst to the solution reaction of coke,while SiO2 and Al2O3 has little influence to the solution reaction of coke.
This paper introduces the change of process and coke quality after modifying the 4.3m top charging coke oven battery to stamp charging. After the modification,the coke yield has almost remained same as before,while the coke strength at cold and hot conditions has increased,and the coke screening has been improved,the metallurgical coke rate could be increased by 2.5%,coke nut yield has been reduced by 1.5%,and coke breeze yield has been reduced by 0.5%.

A new technology using salt extraction liquor instead of production water to prepare ammonium sulfate mother liquor was developed.The mixture of proportional salt extraction liquor and production water is used to prepare circulating spray mother liquor for ammonium sulfate system.Production water consumption and waste water treatment cost are reduced without influencing the quality of ammonium sulfate.Harmless reuse of salt extraction liquor is realized.
Head space gas chromatography was used to determine BTX content in crude benzol.The experiment proves that head space gas chromatography meets the requirement for BTX content analysis in coking crude benzol.This method can be used to guide production operation for it has the advantages of high precision and good repeatability.
This paper systematically analyzes the influencing factors based on production realities for the problem of blockage in ammonia stripper which has impacted stable operation of the system,and proposes optimization and modification for oil discharging in source liquor,alkali dosing mixer and feeding process for ammonia stripper,which has reduced the blockage of ammonia stripper trays and greatly improved the operation stability of the system. In addition,the NH3-N content in wastewater from ammonia stripping could be stably controlled within 100~200mg/L.
This paper introduces the three methods of reducing total cyanide concentration in coke plant wastewater.The test shows that the methods of coke absorption and flocculant dosing to oil removal tank are both effective.Coke absorption method will increase labor intensity,so it is not a good option; while the method of dosing flocculant to oil removal tank with self-pressure blowdown system could not only reduce the total cyanide concentration and also benefit the biochemical treatment process.
On condition of not changing the column body of original ammonia stripper and deacidifier,this paper presents the method of replacing original internals with new type vertical sieve trays,which has solved the problem of insufficient capacity and effect of ammonia stripping process.The capacity could be increased to 200~280m3/h from 133m3/h,and at the same time the parameters of ammonia stripping and deacidifier could meet the requirement of original design,so that it has achieved the effect of high yield with lower energy consumption.

The influence of moisture content in coal charge to the cold and hot strength and grain size is studied.This paper compares the difference of center temperature of coke cake from same dry coal but different coal cake height.The experiment result shows that as the moisture content reduces,the dry basis coke rate increases,but the shrinkage rate of coal cake decreases,the cold and hot strength of coke are improved,especially the coke strength after reaction is improved remarkably,the coke grain size decreases and uniformity of coke is getting better.Under the condition of same dry coal,temperature of coke cake at the center rises faster as the moisture content decreases.
The lid lifting mechanism for double U gas transfer car is a four-claw mechanical tong,which cannot accurately take,lift,lower down and locate the lid.As a result the de-dusting effect is affected.After C type tong is adopted for two gas transfer cars,the operation is more convenient and reliable,damage of equipment is eliminated,operation time is shorter,and the charging emission control effect is obviously improved.

This paper introduces the main ideas for renovation and expansion of old coking plants.The general layout shall be designed with comprehensive consideration of short term and long term plan,less land occupation and comprehensive utilization of land.The general layout shall be scientific and feasible to minimize the cost,consumption and deviation.
To meet the process control requirement,renovation and improvement have been made on the actuator for coke oven heating,transmitter of heating control system,PC panel of automatic control system,computer table in the control room,level measurement device in quench basin,pressure regulating device for gas collecting main and the program for reversing machine.After renovation,the coke oven automatic control system runs properly,and the automation level of coke oven control is improved.
Regarding to the problems existed in the traditional gas condensate tank,the 5 water seals in the negative pressure area were renovated.U tube energy saving and environment protecting gas water seal was adopted.The waste heat of circulating ammonia liquor was utilized to insulate and flush the water seal.It has good energy saving and environment protecting effect.
The accuracy of automatic coal blending is affected by control algorithm,feeding system and the accuracy of weighing system.Based on the analysis of the affecting factors,methods and measures to improve coal blending accuracy are proposed.
A linear programming model of heat exchange network for distillation is established to quickly determine the optimal distillation flow structure and operation parameters with the smallest amount of public work (or cost) and simplify the synthesis of complex distillation system.Finally the feasibility of the mode is verified by examples.
The low temperature coal tar from Inner Mongolia was distillated effectively,and the distillate oil was separated to phenol oil and neutral oil through acid-base solution extraction.The chemical composition and structure of phenol oil and neutral oil were analyzed in a quantitative and qualitative way by GC-MS technology.The result shows that there are 40 kinds of compounds with mass fraction more than 0.1% in the phenol oil,mostly of which are phenol,alkyl phenol and naphthol; there are 104 kinds of compounds with mass fraction more than 0.1% in the neutral oil,mostly of which are alkene,alkane and naphthalene,etc..
This paper analyzes the problems existed in the packed columns and introduces the structure features and design principle of multi-layer distributor.With installation of multi-layer distributor,the mass transfer efficiency can be remarkably increased and the resistance of the column can be reduced.
Simulation calculation has been worked out for the primary tower and rectification tower of industrial naphthalene unit with the help of Aspen Plus chemical simulating software.Influence of process parameters to the product quality and energy consumption was studied.The production power consumption is reduced by optimizing the process parameters.
This paper introduces the anhydrous ammonia production process,analyzes the negative factors for production of anhydrous ammonia,proposes measures such as adding water cooling naphthalene washing device,improving the demister after desulfurization and strengthening the heat insulation of the system to optimize the production process of anhydrous ammonia.It provides reference for the new construction and renovation of anhydrous ammonia device in other similar plants.

This paper probes into the pyrolysis kinetic characteristics of Zhundong coal and Shenmu coal with thermogravimetric analysis method and gas heat carrier experiment,and determines the kinetic parameters by established pyrolysis kinetic model.It finds that the impact of reaction residence time on semi\|coke yield and its volatile matter decreases with increasing pyrolysis temperature; the pyrolysis activation energies of coals are related to reaction residence time and coal particle size.The study results have great significance on industrialization of coal pyrolysis process.
This paper researches the high temperature metallurgical properties of coke used in blast furnace ironmaking process under lab conditions,and also elaborates the impact of alkali metal on the high temperature metallurgical properties of coke,so that it could provide basis for improvement of metallurgical coke quality for blast furnace and selection of ironmaking coke.
This paper conducts experimental coke making respectively by top charging and stamp charging method with 6 kinds of single coal and their 4 kinds of blended coal in 2kg test coke oven,and studies the impact on coke quality.The result shows that stamp charging has increased the bulk density and improved the caking property and further improved coke quality.On condition of ensuring the coke quality,more quantity of weakly caking coal such as gas coal,lean coal and meager coal could be blended.
This paper studies the vitrinite characteristics of similar rank coking coal through density centrifugation method to separate the macerals of coal petrography,and also analyzes and compares their caking property and the features of the produced coke. The study shows that there are differences in volatile matters,caking property and inert-tolerant capacity of similar rank coals,while the difference in inert-tolerant capacity of vitrinite of the coking coals is larger,and the property of the produced coke from similar rank coal vitritite also has obvious difference.Compared with the coke produced from raw coals,the optical texture index of coke made from vitrinite is higher,while the strength and reactivity of the coke become decreased.
This paper analyzes the causes for the problems of deduster including dew formation,frequent damage of gasket for dust cleaning valve,reduced service life of filter bag and partial smoldering etc.,and adopts countermeasures including using flap type steam bushing insulation device,adding pressure reducer at inlet of deduster air bag,properly increasing fan flow,reducing emission moisture etc.,which has effectively solved the problems.

This paper analyzes the broken tubes of secondary superheater by Scanning Electron Microscope (SEM) and Energy Dispersive X-Ray Spectroscopy (EDS) and found that the high temperature sulfur corrosion is the main reason for the tube damage and further tube burst.After corresponding improvement, there is no more tube burst accident.
Experiment was carried out to study the methods of thinning the existing oven door brick and reducing heat loss on the surface of oven door.The result shows that if the oven door brick is thinned by 80mm and installed with an additional new type high temperature resistant insulating plate,maintenance of oven door is easier, heat loss on the surface of oven door is less,effective volume of coking chamber is increased and consequently coke output is increased.The thinned brick can meet the requirement of oven door.
This paper introduces the method and device for recycling the steam exhaust of deaerator. It applies membrane type condenser recycling device for recovery of the steam exhaust heat and condensate, which has realized cycling utilization of the heat and saved low pressure steam consumption,and there is significant economic benefit.
This paper introduces a determination method for waste gas circulation flow of coke oven battery.It has successfully determined the waste gas circulation flow on 7m coke oven battery respectively heated with coke oven gas and mixed gas,and the determination results show that the waste gas circulation flow is higher when heated with coke oven gas than mixed gas.
According to the characteristics curve of the pressure control valve on gas main pipe,this paper establishes a mathematical model of variables of pressure control valve.On that basis,step disturbance of the system is removed with feed-forward control method according to the characteristic of control valve and process requirement of coke oven heating system,so that the pressure of recycled gas main pipe could be stabilized at the prescribed value,and the system has been well operated at site.
This paper proposes the improvement methods based on analysis of the causes for malfunction of limit signal transmission device for coke bucket gate. The improved transmission device has removed the horizontal component force on the transmission rod and reduced frictional resistance, and the operational reliability of the device has been improved.

This paper establishes a separation and determination method for o-cresol,m-cresol and p-cresol with capillary gas chromatography.The peak area and concentration of o-cresol and m-cresol have linear relationship in the range of 2~200g/L,and the relative standard deviation is respectively 1.84% and 1.67%; the same of p-cresol has linear relationship in the range of 2~200g/L,and the relative standard deviation is 1.63%.The determined recovery rate of them are all between 96.4%~103.8%.
This paper introduces the calculation of fire separation distance between the flare and equipment in coking plant.First the horizontal distance between the point which subjects to the strongest flame heat radiation and the center of flare shaft,based on which the fire separation distance between the flare and equipment can be worked out.This provides design basis for the reasonable arrangement of these two units to avoid damage of equipment caused by heat radiation of the flare.
Based on analysis of the contents of waste gas from tar processing,this paper proposes methods including increasing wash oil cooler and changing baffle plates with packings to improve the recovery rate of waste gas; the unabsorbed waste gas will be sent by fan to the heating furnace for combustion so that the gas emission meet standard requirement.The method could remove off-odour and greatly improve operation environment at site.
This paper has made attempts to successfully solve the problem of low spray atomization of ammonia liquor and smoke emission during coal leveling through modifying the length,outlet diameter,spray angle and spray pressure of the ammonia liquor spray nozzle. After applying the new nozzle,the pressure at the spray nozzle has been reduced from 3.5MPa to 2.5MPa,which has created annual economic benefit of 1.2 million yuan.
The coal blending expert system is established based on the coke quality prediction module and coal blending ratio optimization ratio.It includes such functional modules as data collection,data storage,knowledge base and inference engine,etc..It can predict the dust content,sulfur content,M40,M10,CRI,CSR of coke,and rapidly work out the best coal blending ratio.The practical application showed that the foreseeing deviation of coke quality is less than 6%,which meets the production requirement.
Application scheme of high quality low price coking coal is determined through pilot coke oven test.The scheme is finally applied in coking industry,so that the high quality low price coking coal can be used in an innovative way,and the resources of coking coal is widened.The cost for producing coke is greatly reduced under the precondition that coke quality is stabilized.
Environmental problems during coking production of Masteel coke oven battery are described.Dust is collected through the methods of coke screening for battery No.1~4,optimizing CDQ de-dusting,technical improvement on pushing de-dusting of 7.63m coke oven battery,and construction of 3 stationary bag house stations for charging and pushing of battery No.5~6.In addition,measures such as strengthening the maintenance and management of aged ovens,using new glazed refractory and improvement on knife edge can effectively minimize the leakage of intermittent smoke.
Study on the flow and heat transfer process shows that the zero pressure level of CDQ system is located in the corbel zone,so the distribution of gas flow in the cooling chamber is not only related to the voidage of moving coke bed,but also related to the layout of regulating bricks at the outlet of corbel zone and negative pressure.Heat transfer between gas and coke in CDQ chamber can be enhanced by prolonging the stay of carrier gas in high temperature area and improving the gas flow distribution between the carrier gas and coke in the low temperature area.
Study and improvement have been carried out regarding to the problems found during operation of CDQ discharging device.After improvement,failure of the equipment is reduced,and the running stability of the system is improved greatly.The production requirement can be met.This paper provides technical reference for the reliable and stable running of similar process equipment.
Regarding to the problem of low temperature at oven end in case of prolonged coking time,the technology of supplementary heating of end flues is adopted to maintain the temperature of oven end ≥1 100℃.As a result,the production environment of coke oven battery is improved,and consumption of heating gas is reduced.
Regarding to the problems of coke oven proper such as denudation of oven wall,gap between oven bricks,crack on the crossover bricks,chopping and damage of bottom bricks,unroofing renovation technique is adopted to repair coke oven battery under hot state.The result is good and the coke oven battery after repair is in normal operation.The application of this technique in Jiusteel has reference significance for other coking plants.
This paper studies the influence of thin oven wall of 6m coke oven battery to coke oven proper strength,coking time,coke output and power consumption.For coke oven battery with thin oven wall,after careful calculation and with suitable measures adopted,coke output can be maintained,and at the same time,gas consumption and environment pollution are reduced.
The automatic temperature measuring system is improved after analyzing the problems in the control process and taking such measures as line protection,temperature deviation treatment and compensation,etc..As a result,online monitoring by computer can be ensured and automatic temperature measuring system in heating up of 7m coke oven battery is realized.

Based on the automatic detection of vertical flue temperature,net coking temperature judgment and coke cake temperature monitoring,an automatically optimized heating control system for coke oven battery is established.Through optimized control,the heating gas can be regulated timely to maintain stable oven temperature.Meanwhile,it helps to control the maturity of coke,improve coke quality and timely discover the abnormal oven.As a result,the automation level and stability of coke oven are improved.
The automatic measurement system for coke cake center temperature installed on the coke guide car can reflect the maturity of coke cake timely.Application of this system reduces energy consumption,labor intensity and ensures safety.
CARMA is adopted for modeling the relationship between the valve location and pressure of single gas collecting main.Model order can be determined by adopting modeling principle with large information entropy.Parameter estimation is carried out taking minimizing the quadratic sum of deviation values actual value and calculated value as objective function,so as to identify the model of gas collecting main.The comparison result between predicted pressure and actual pressure proves the effectiveness of CARMA in the control of gas collecting main pressure.
This paper analyzes three benzol production processes. Through comparison it can be seen that negative pressure debenzolization process with steam has lots of advantages,such as improving the efficiency of debenzolization tower,reducing emission of SO2,preventing blockage of equipment and reducing operation cost,and so on.
Through analysis of the features of coke oven flue gas,this paper proposes a kind of integrated process for desulfurization,dedusting,denitration and thermal decompositioin of coke oven flue gas,and expounds the system composition and characteristics of the process.Analysis and comparison shows that this process has advantages of simple system,compact workflow,easy operation and less maintenance,which could effectively solve the removal problem of SO2 and NOx in coke oven flue gas.
This paper studies the influence of reaction temperature,reaction pressure and reaction time on the content of mesophase in modified pitch.The experiment result shows that the content of mesophase increases along with the increasing of reaction temperature and pressure and reaches maximum at 0.22MPa,and increases as reaction time lasts and reaches maximum at 8h.Under suitable condition,modified pitch containing 1.22% mesophase can be obtained.
This paper analyzes the reason for the problems existed in the BTX extraction and distillation process of crude benzol hydro-refining plant and proposes appropriate renovation methods.The plant runs well after renovation,and the problem of solvent inactivation is solved.
This paper introduces HPF desulfurization and vacuum potassium carbonate desulfurization and compares the advantages and disadvantages of these two processes.Analysis shows that HPF desulfurization has the advantages of low investment,simple operation,but it has the disadvantages of high operation cost,low quality sulfur produced,large amount of waste water generated and serious pollution problem; while vacuum potassium carbonate desulfurization needs higher investment,is complex in process,but it cost less for operation and the product sulfuric acid can be directly used for ammonia recovery.
This paper introduces the process of heating with coke oven gas and purge gas.The influence of purge gas is analyzed,and the result shows that mixed with purge gas,vertical heating of coke oven is improved,temperature fluctuation in the coking chamber is reduced,labor intensity is reduced,pressure of main pipe in the cellar is increased,the longitudinal temperature meets the specified temperature,and there is no affect to the suction force of flue,formation of graphite or pushing.Therefore,this process brings remarkable economic benefit.
This paper introduces the upgrading process of traditional intermittent gasification into rich oxygen continuous gasification,discusses the problems existed during running and corresponding solutions.Rich oxygen gasification process has the advantages of less investment,simple operation and less pollution.
This paper introduces the process flow and feature of sulfuric acid making process with low quality sulfur and desulfurization waste water,and analyzes main parameters such as technical and economical indexes,emission indexes and environment protection indexes.By this process,the problems existed in the recovery of low quality sulfur and in the treatment of by\|product salt solution of desulfurization are fundamentally solved,the efficiency of desulfurization and cyanide removal from COG is effectively improved,discharge of waste is reduced and the environmental protection level is increased.
To meet the requirement of Emission Standard of Pollutants for Coking Chemical Industry GB 16171—2012 on emissions discharged to the atmosphere,upgrading measures are taken for ammonium sulfate unit,including improvement on production system switching and waste gas washing and purification unit.After upgrading,the ammonia and particle contained in the waste gas are lower than the limit value specified in the new standard.
