Abstract:

This paper introduces HPF desulfurization and vacuum potassium carbonate desulfurization and compares the advantages and disadvantages of these two processes.Analysis shows that HPF desulfurization has the advantages of low investment, simple operation, but it has the disadvantages of high operation cost, low quality sulfur produced, large amount of waste water generated and serious pollution problem; while vacuum potassium carbonate desulfurization needs higher investment,is complex in process, but it cost less for operation and the product sulfuric acid can be directly used for ammonia recovery.
