Abstract: active carbon by application of JNWFG oven developed by ACRE as well as the product quality and uses are introduced briefly. The feasibility of producing coal based particulate active carbon by“one�step”process，which refers to realization of carbonization of low rank fine coal and activation of semi coke in the same chamber of JNWFG furnace，has been proved by the achievement of the research. The optimizing direction of the“one-step”process is also proposed in the paper.
