In steelmaking process,the refractories are eroded by molten steel.In this paper,corundum castable and alumina-magnesia castable are prepared with tabular corundum and magnesium corundum as aggregates,α-alumina and magnesia as fines,erosions of molten steel to different refractories are studied with the method of static sample immersion ventilation.The results show that the occurrence of refractory erosion depends on the critical erosion strength of the material.With  the  increase of blowing volum,erosion occurs when the shear stress is higher than the critical shear strength.Erosion begins with the matrix part of the refractory material until the aggregate peels off.Alumina-magnesia refractory had better erosion resistance than tabular corundum refractory.

At present, the main problem of the refractories for sliding plate slag blocking system is to realize the matching of the service life of each refractory component by reasonably improving the service life of each component,thus reducing the change times of the refractories and the influence on overall process of steelmaking.It is particularly important to take effective measures to improve the above problem.

In order to increase the utilization rate of recycled refractory,the industry standard of the recycled castable and ramming refractory used in blast furnace trough has been established.The composition and performance data of the recycled castable and ramming refractory are collected and analyzed,the technical conditions of related products are discussed,and the content and formulation requirements of the industry standard are introduced.It is concluded that the performances of recycled castable and ramming refractory should be controlled through composition requirements and the lining quality should be ensured by controlling the physical index such as strength and permanent change in dimension on heating etc.The establishment of appropriate industry standards for recycled castable and ramming refractory used in blast furnace trough is conducive to improving the utilization rate of recycled refractory materials and reducing environmental pollution.

There are three forms of heat loss of molten steel in tundish,they are heat dissipation from upper surface of tundish,heat storage of tundish lining and heat conduction through lining to tundish shell.This paper develops long\|life semi-light mullite castables by optimizing tundish lining material and structure,and acquires a set of technologies of safety,stability,long service life,energy saving and heat preservation,which can reduce the temperature drop and temperature fluctuation of molten steel during tundish casting and improve the quality of billet.

Based on erosion mechanism of calcium treatment steel,magnesium aluminum carbon slide gate was fired in medium temperature with high quality magnesia and spinel with good erosion resistance as raw materials,adding low expansion additives and metal additives in appropriate amounts and modified phenolic resin as a binder.This kind of slide gate has the advantages of good erosion resistance,low expansion and thermal shock resistance,the average service life can reach more than 4 times in steel mills.

This paper mainly introduces the general situation and damage causes of diluted oxygen burner block in copper smelting furnace,and analyzes the refractory materials used for copper smelting.The new type of chrome corundum burner blocks are applied in copper smelting furnace,the temperature distribution at each point of the furnace is uniform,and the effect is obviously improved.

Aiming at the pulverization problem in metallurgical lime production,three kinds of limestone raw materials calcination pulverization rate experiments were carried out.The results showed that appropriate calcination temperature could effectively control the lime pulverization rate and improve the lime yield.From the samples taken in the experiment,at 950 ℃ the decomposition rate of limestone was the highest,the pulverization rate was the lowest and the calcination effect was the best.The lime pulverization rate was related to the grain size of limestone.Limestone with coarse grains was easy to be broken and powdered during calcination at high temperature,that was because of its tight intergranular bonding and less ability to absorb thermal expansion.

Dust emission occurs during the lime discharging process in the kiln roof of 150 m3 gas-burning  shaft kiln in Shaoguan Iron & Steel Group Co.,Ltd., the quantity of smoke and dust is large,the duration of time is long,the environmental protection is not up to the standard.In order to solve this problem,some measures were adopted,such as improving the parameters of induced draft fan,improving the dust accumulation in flue gas pipes and cleaning pipes,optimizing the parameters and process parameters of multi-pipe ceramic dust remover,pulse bag dust remover and kiln top seal.The dust emission from the kiln roof has been well controlled and has met the requirements of environmental protection.

This paper introduces the present situation of ring formation in the production of metallurgical lime rotary kiln in Chaoyang Steel Co.,Ltd.,and compares the composition,wear rate and damage rate of limestone with the aspects of advanced enterprises,additionally analyzes and probes into the operation parameters and thermal regulation of rotary kiln,and clarifies the causes of ring formation.A series of measures have been taken against the causes of ring formation for the rotary kiln,which effectively control the rotary kiln ring,realize the stable production of rotary kiln,break through the production capacity of single equipment and realize the increase of output.
