Abstract: The paper introduces the process，quality and application related to the deepprocessing of the products produced by lime kilns in the steel enterprises adopting long production process. Focusing on different demands by various processes on the products of lime kilns， such as sintering，pelletizing, hot metal desulphurization，steelmaking，refining and flue gas desulphurization，the paper points out the existing problems in the current development of lime kiln technology. In addition，it proposes that the top-level management of raw materials and fuels should be strengthened based on the new development philosophy，so as to optimize lime demand and avoid waste and improper proportioning of resources.
