This paper introduces the influence of coal tar moisture on tar refinery,analyzes the fluctuation caused by moisture in the production process and the damage to the equipment from the aspects of production,safety,environmental protection,energy saving and equipment corrosion,and puts forward the measures to control coal tar moisture from the source as well as reduce the content of chloride ion in coal tar.
