Abstract: Adding scrap steel in refining process of ladle furnace will lead to unstable control of ladle liquid level，slagging and abnormal erosion，by taking measures such as optimizing the size of ladle egde brick press，applying L-shaped slag line brick and improving the quality of castable，the unplanned offline ratio of ladle due to abnormal erosion has been reduced by 70%， the steel-piercing accident in ladle edge is effectively controlled.
