Abstract:

The generation and harm of water hammer effect of coke wet quenching system are introduced.The hammer effect which occurs during shut down of the quenching pump is controlled by soft starters under different control mode.The result shows the pump-controlled soft starter can realize soft shut down of the quenching pump,and so it can effectively overcome the problem of water hammer effect of the coke quenching system.
