Abstract:

This paper studies the process conditions for preparing briquetted active carbon by non-caking coal and gas coal，and discusses the absorption property of active carbon.Experimental result shows the optimum process conditions are: coking temperature 550℃，constant temperature time for coking 30min，activating temperature 900℃，activating time 4h.The iodine adsorptive value of briquetted active carbon is up to 1 041mg/g，and methylene blue adsorptive value up to 190mg/g.These two values meet the requirement of industrial production.
