Abstract:

With description of the cause，harmfulness，mechanism and prevention measures against water hammer，and by analyzing several typical measures for water hammer prevention in wet quenching system，this paper concluded that delay\|close check valve can be selected at the outlet of quenching pump and automatic hydraulic pump can be used on the pipeline carrying quenching water so that the water hammer can be effectively avoided in the wet quenching process.
