Low thermal conductivity single crystal phase mullite brick for cement kiln

The single crystal phase mullite bricks were made by single crystal phase mullite as raw materials. By analyzing the physical and chemical indexes,phase composition and microstructure of single crystal mullite,it was found that single crystal mullite has dense structure and high stability.The physical and chemical properties and alkali corrosion resistance of single crystal mullite brick were tested,and the results were compared with those of anti-spalling high alumina brick and silicon mullite brick. It was found that single crystal mullite brick has the characteristics of low porosity,low bulk density,high refractoriness under load,high thermal shock resistance and excellent alkali corrosion resistance. The thermal conductivity of single crystal mullite brick at 1 000 ℃ is only 68% of that of anti-spalling high alumina brick and 52% of that of silicon mullite brick. It can replace high alumina brick and silicon mullite brick and be used in the medium and low temperature areas such as the preheating zone of cement kiln,safety zone and tertiary air duct

The working conditions of corundum castable for ladle were briefly described. In order to reduce the material cost,a new type of corundum self-flow castable was developed by using calcium aluminate titanate aggregate and adjusting the addition of aluminum powder on the basis of conventional corundum self-flow castable,the industrial test and economic benefit analysis were carried out on 150 t ladle. The results show that the physical properties of the new corundum selfflow castable material can meet the requirements of physical and chemical indexes,and can meet the practical application requirements in the industrial test

China is rich in refractory raw materials,especially bauxite,magnesite and graphite, which play an important role in the world. Currently,Chinese government is paying more and more attention to resources and environment. The management of mining areas has been strengthened, and refractory raw material producers in China have also updated the environmental protection facilities and abandoned the backward production capacity,resulting in a shortage of raw material supply and a sharp rise in prices. The prices of main refractory materials,such as bauxite, magnesia,flake graphite and silicon carbide,fluctuate greatly,which have an important impact on the production of refractories. A favorable environment for the stable operation of refractory industry will be provided depending on more orderly mining operations in China,more complete supply chain of refractory raw materials,and the production lines of refractory materials with high automation degree and large-scale.

This paper introduces the structure of purging plug for copper smelting furnace. The purging plug core with good permeability and high strength is prepared by using self-made spherical particles. It is combined with block and enclosed brick tried on the refining furnace. The operation process parameters are normal and meet the requirements of blowing and mixing of the refining furnace.

Low cement high alumina silicon carbide castable was prepared with 83% rotary kiln bauxite,90% silicon carbide,α-Al 2O3 and silica fume as main raw materials,pure calcium aluminate cement as binder. This paper studied the effects of adding citric acid,boric acid and sodium fluorosilicate as retarders on the construction time,modulus of rupture and compressive strength of low cement high alumina silicon carbide castable. The results showed that the retarding effect of sodium fluorosilicate was the best,the modulus of rupture and compressive strength at ambient temperature decreased after 110 ℃ drying for 24 hours,while the modulus of rupture and compressive strength increased or decreased slightly after 1 100 ℃ and 1 400 ℃ heat treatment for 3 hours,therefore,boric acid or sodium fluorosilicate can be used as retarder in summer.
