This paper introduces the structure design, installation position, masonry method and effect of expanded application of the permeable bricks used in rotary type anode furnace.The integral optimization design, carefully masonry and maintenance on site not only improve the copper liquid quality,but also uniform copper liquid temperature and compositions,increase the heating rate of copper liquid and throughput of cold charge and shorten the copper time.

Due to the pollution problem of Cr6+ in magnesia chrome bricks, magnesia chrome bricks are replaced by magnesia spinel bricks in cement kiln and lime kiln. Magnesia spinel refractories are prepared with different additions and types of magnesia spinel, by rational introducing α-Al2O3 and utilizing the combination of magnesia aggregates and magnesia spinel aggregates with magnesia matrix, which have good thermal shock resistance and can buffer thermal stress and improve slag penetration resistance.
