Abstract: Active lime is one of the important solvents and slag-forming materials in iron and steel production. Basically，all major and medium-sized iron and steel enterprises in our country have production facilities for metallurgical lime. In the production process of active lime, the transportation of materials is often accompanied by dust. If the dust is not treated， it will cause dust overflow，which will not only pollute the surrounding environment，but also endanger the health of workers and surrounding residents. In addition，the national requirements for environmental protection are getting higher and higher，the environmental dust removal is particularly important. This paper analyzes the causes and locations of fugitive dust，and introduces the dust treatment methods and the calculation of dust collection air volume under different dust source environments.
