High strength wear-resistant clinker brick is made of hard chamotte, sanitary pottery waste, sintering agent and modifiers as raw materials. The clinker brick is characterized by high compression strength, proper wear resistance and long service life. Coke wharf is bulit with high quality new clinker bricks, which are widely used in coke plants and enjoying great popularity.
When the tapping hole is being opened, tapping time should be maximized for the most stable operation of blast furnace. Furthermore, low consumption of clay gun, the reduction of labor intensity and environmental protection can be achievable. For longer tapping time, the damage rate of clay-gun-made tapping passage should be reduced. By analyzing the cause of damage, this paper proposes the methods for prolonging the tapping time in several aspects, in terms of upgrading the corrosion resistance and wearability of clay gun as well as improving the furnace operation mode.
This paper studies the process of active lime calcined with rotary kiln based on the production experience and experiment results, and analyses the effects of calcination temperature, holding time, combustion-supporting air volume and rotation speed of kiln proper etc. on the activity of lime. In addition, some viewpoints about the production process of superior quality active lime calcined with rotary kiln are proposed in this paper.
In the paper, the production principle and process of silicon carbide-mullite bricks are described. An introduction is given to the physical and chemical properties of silicon carbide-mullite bricks and its application result in cement rotary kiln. Its developing future is prospected.
In combination with production practice, the analysis is carried out for the cause of the agglomerated ball formation on the lining of the shaft kiln. The prevention measures, judgment method and handling method for the formation of agglomerated ball are described in this paper.
Active lime can loses reactivity gradually after absorbing water and carbon dioxide in air. Under different storage and transport conditions, the calcium oxide content and reactivity of active lime change unceasingly in different storage times. Through test and analysis, it investigates the change regularity and provides the basis for application of active lime.
The CO2 of soft burnt dolomite discharged from A shaft of the kiln varies greatly. Polling inspector has found that the temperatures of the thermal insulation covering plates of No.18 and No.20 lances exceed 150℃. After analysis, the lances at the covering boards are burnt out and there is very high possibility that protection covers of lances are burnt out too. In order to determine the damage degree of the lances the operation of the kiln is stopped to carry out inspection of covering plates and it is found that No.2 and No.3 lances are broken by burning and the corresponding protection covers are burnt out. Aiming at the problems the safer and more reliable solutions are provided.
First of all,the state and development of Indian refractory markets was reviewed,and steel and iron industry and cement industry were emphatically introduced.Then the development actuality of Indian refractories was discussed,such as raw materials for refractories,history of refractory production,import and export and refractory makers.Based on the above introduction,the current task and future outlook of Indian refractory industry were analysed.
This paper introduces the structure,installation position,laying methods and application effect of permeable bricks in ladle.The overall optimization design and carefully laying and maintenance on site can not only solve the difficulty of slag-discharge,but also can equalize the composition and temperature of hot iron,and improve the quality of hot iron.The service life of permeable bricks can be drastically increased by side installation at ladle wall.
On the basis of brief description of the present situation of carbon content and reactivity indexes in our country,it is put forward that there are three existing forms of carbon in the lime,i.e.impurity carbon,primary carbon and regeneration carbon.The formed cause and distribution features of various forms of carbon are analyzed.The morphology and regeneration carbon distribution of the lime produced from two kinds of lime kilns are determined by SEM and EPMA and the multiple kinds of technical measures for reducing different forms of carbon in metallurgical lime are put forward.
Differences of 1#,2# and 3# Marez lime kilns have been analyzed by means of program running for the cause of gas ring canal blockage.Measures have been taken with remarkable improvement.

Ning steel active lime plant has two 600t·d-1 rotary kiln designed by ACRE,which were commissioned in June 2008,have been in stable operation at present with sound economic and technical indexes.The plant is not equipped with water washing facility for the raw materials due to limited space.Therefore the limestone from mine has to be directly put into use,which gives rise to serious scale formation.
This paper compares the principles of common drainer with leakproof drainer,points out the advantage of leakproof drainer,and expounds the key points of maintenance and cleaning and drainage operation.The leakproof drainer has good effect after being applied in calcinations mixed gas pipe network of Shaosteel.
This paper introduces the operation condition of low caloricity gas-lit Maerz lime kiln and existing problems and corresponding solutions,the performance of the new equipments and innovative technologies during design and production process,and the product quality track report. The actual result shows that the kiln is running better than expected,the products quality is satisfacting,the lime average activity is 380~420mL,and the thermal loss is very low.
This paper studies the impact of forming pressure to performances of synthesized CaZrO3,which is made of fused zirconia powder and active lime powder as raw materials,and analyses the mineral facies and microstructure by XRD and SEM.The results show that density increases with the forming pressure going up;when the pressure reaches up to 200MPa,its effect on density becomes weak;the pressure has no effect on mineral facies and little effect on microstructure.In conclusion,the optimal forming pressure value is 200MPa.

Through the laboratory physical simulation,we study the effects of argon gas blowing at the bottom installed gas permeable bricks on steel flow and inclusion removal inside the tundish.Combining the residence time distribution curves(RTD curves),mean residence time,dead region and volume fraction of plug flow,we study steel flowability with and without gas permeable bricks of different areas.Then we can concluded that the bottom gas blowing can improve the steel flow condition,prolong response time and reduce the dead region volume.When the distances between the top of the tundish and porous diversion wall and the gas curtain are 600mm and 500mm respectively,the result shows the longest mean residence time and the smallest dead region volume.

In this paper,the improvement of automatic dust removal system for lime delivery are introduced.When the lime is being conveyed out of bunker,VVVF motor for dust removal starts through photoelectricity switch.Dusty gas is firstly collected under negative pressure of induced draft fan,then fed into dust hopper and discharged into elevator by screw conveyor.Automatic variant frequency start of the dust removal system and dust recovery and utilization can be realized,simultaneously dust emission is cut down.
In view of the bricking furnace door of coke oven’s defects such as short life,difficult to repair,easy to dissipating heat and often product glutinous,the article analyzed the cause of destroying,advance a new theory about improving the structure of lining,developing the new materials and using a new method by whole pouring.Combine the method with smearing materials on the lining,the new method guarded against damage of the lining,let the life of the furnace door have more than tripled,reduced the loss of heat and cut down the worker’s work load.Achieve the aim of safe production,energy conservation and long life.
In this paper,the raw matericals obtained from the recycled ladle porous bricks are used to prepare the aluminum magnesia castables at ladle bottom,which partly replace the high-aluminum aggregates.The test results show that the castables can meet the requirements of testing standards and utilizations and have better performances than brown corundum aggregate products,with some significant econmic benefits and social benefits.

This paper describes the high alumina brick made of high quality bauxite and mullite compound as major raw materials,with kyanite,andalusite,sillimanite and pyrophyllite as expanding agents,with soft clay as bonding agent,and with certain amount of additives,then calcined under appropriate temperature,which has been sucessfully used for ladle lining to produce low carbon steel and strainless steel.Tiny brick expension appears at the high temperature and allows a good integrity of the ladle lining for a better erosion resistance.
The rotary kiln lining can be used brick masonry,also can choose the other refractories.But in recent years,with the improvement of the construction methods and refractory materials research and development of the breakthrough,rotary kiln lining started using overall kiln technology,through the rotary kiln lining material selection and construction technology combining the method of the rotary kiln to improve productivity and reduce heat loss,to achieve the high efficiency of energy saving and consumption reduction effect significantly.
