The effect of SM high-efficiency water reduction agent on indexes of flow value and mechanical property of refractory castable and effect of addition of zirconite powder on residual strength after thermal shock of refractory castable are studied. The results show that in the test range, with the increase of SM addition, flow value is increased, bulk density is increased, apparent porosity is reduced, the crushing strength and modulus of rupture are raised;with increase of zircon addition, the residual modulus of rupture after 15 thermal shocks is first increased and then reduced.
In order to optimize the properties of corundum based castable,different kinds of dispersants are added into the corundum based castable bonded with pure aluminate cement. The effects of different kinds of dispersants on the electrokinetic property, rheological property and conventional physical property of the castable matrix slurry are studied systematically.The results show that all of Zeta absolute values of the matrix slurries added with four dispersants are lower, and the Zeta absolute values of the slurries added with high molecular polymer type dispersants are much lower than those of the Zeta absolute values of the slurries added with polyelectrolyte type dispersants. All of four dispersants can reduce the apparent viscosity of matrix slurry remarkably. Their optimum adding amounts are 0.2%,0.7%,0.6% and 0.7% respectively. The corundum based castable added with dispersant FS10 needs lowest amount of water and the various physical properties of the sample are better.
The effects of several kinds of silica micropowder with different pH values on the flowability and physical of magnesian castable are studied by taking magnesia as major raw material and using MgO-SiO2-H2O bonding system. The result shows that the magnesian castable by adding the silica micropowder with subacidity has good flowability and higher strength and the magnesian castable by adding the neutral silica micropowder has even better percent retention of flowability.
The development process and preparation method of intermediate phase pitch of environmental type binder and its superior property embodied in the application of refractory binder that contains carbon are described. And the present situation of the study on intermediate phase pitch both at home and abroad and its prospect application in refractory binder are analyzed.

Through the tracking and analysis of the load variations of the fan for the de-dusting bag filter of Maerz PFR lime shaft kiln in the process of production the key control parameters are optimized so as to ensure the high efficient and stable operation of the de-dusting bag filter.
Lime kiln is the important equipment in iron and steel making industry, calcium carbide industry, alumina industry and refractory industry. In the paper the improvement on the central positioning mechanism of lime discharge screw cone at the bottom of the lime kiln with higher mechanization level is described and a new structural device is designed. The new device is favorable for the stable operation of lime kiln, extending the service life of gear and ensuring the use reliability.
Taking fused silica、M45 synthetic mullite and Synthetic cordierite as main raw materials and pure CAC as binder, a kind of large lining bricks for coke oven door with height of 580~1 300mm, width of 430~610mm, thickness of 350~435mm, and unit weight of 250~420kg is developed in the process of vibration cast molding, curing, drying, baking and high temperature sintering. This kind of brick has better performance in all aspects than the currently prevailing sintered mullite-cordierite lining bricks by mechanical pressing, which has been proved by applying it in 7.63m and 6m coke oven batteries.
Laser flash method is widely studied and applied in the aspect of determination of coefficient of thermal conductivity of materials. The thermal conductivity of silicon carbide material bonded with silicon nitride is determined with laser flash method,the factors that have influence on accuracy are analyzed and the corresponding measures are put forward.
This paper discusses the key quality control points for lime production based on the production process of Maerz kiln. In order to produce high lime, the impurities in the raw material and fuel should be controlled. Meanwhile, limestone particle size, sintering temperature, pressure and sintering time should be suitably controlled.
This paper introduces the flameless combustion technology and its study status. A simulation analysis is made on the air flow and heat transfer in combustor of annular lime kiln. Comparing the combustion states before and after modification of the combustor in annular lime kiln,the theoretical basis for realizing flameless combustion in the combustor is concluded.
The sulfur content in active lime is calculated and analyzed. The effect of sulfur content in active lime on steelmaking is studied. It is pointed out that attention of several basic conditions should be paid in the process of desulphurization reaction in steelmaking.
The induction furnace dipping experimental method is used to simulate the application condition on site. The phase composition,weight loss features under high temperatures and microstructure of carbon containing refractories after corroded by molten steel are investigated by means of analytical methods,such as XRD,SEM,TGA etc. The results show that in the stage of heating in the range from 20~1 300℃ the weight of MgO-C sample has been reduced all through, the total weight reduction is 1.142 7mg,occupying 16.93% of its total mass,while the weight loss of Al2O3-MgO-C sample is less,the total weight loss is 0.441 4mg,occupying 6.45% of its total mass. When heating temperatures range from 1 070~1 170℃, Al2O3-MgO-C sample has increased weight in small amount. The corrosion mechanisms of molten steel on MgO-C and Al2O3-MgO-C refractories are nearly same. Molten steel penetrates into the grain boundaries of major phases,generating many small holes at the boundaries and leaving intergranular and intragranular iron precipitation.
