This paper discussed the pioneering, guiding and guaranteeing effects of patent information on enterprise technical innovation.Taking patent informations of refractory free chrome for RH furnace refinement as example，the patent information combined its advantages with technical innovation and transformed technical innovation into productivity to maximize the economic benefit.
